If you would like to find out even more about Kelly Allen and her family keep on reading our interview with her below.

F: Thank you so much for agreeing with this interview Kelly! Can you start by telling us a bit more about yourself, the person behind the blog?

K: Well I’m Kelly, I grew up in Birmingham and now live near Cardiff in a gorgeous place called Llantrisant with my musician husband, two awesome children and our dog. I’m currently finishing off my first novel, working hard on my blog and generally having an adventure with my fab family.

F: When did you start blogging and what motivates you to write?

K: I started blogging on and off in 2015, but it was only in 2016 that I started to put 100% into it, writing about life, reviewing events and so on…

F: Who has impacted you most in blogging and how?

K: Other bloggers. They’re terrfic, so supportive and inspiring. I never thought it would be as much hard work as it is, it’s fun but such hard work. I don’t think you realise this until you do it yourself!

F: Tell us a little bit about the novel you are writing – The Moss Garden.

K: Love this question. The main story is set in the future, after a zombie outbreak, when two people who have lived in separate worlds meet and fall in love. It’s not a heavy book, but I feel it’s an important story to be told. Dictators, society, love and risking your life, these are the things that make me tick so I had to write them down. Besides, who doesn’t love a decent zombie scene?!

F: Sounds good. Let us know when it will be published. What is your biggest challenge about being a mom, blogger and a novel writer?

K: Time. There’s so little time. Obviously, the children and home education comes first, but it’s also important for me to fit in the blogging and writing side of things too. Ultimately the novel comes last, the only deadline for it comes from me.

F: What is your greatest satisfaction of being a novelist & mom blogger?

K: Oh I’m not sure I’ll be satisfied until my novel is complete. As for the blog, whenever I get an email saying thank you and praising the post I’ve worked on (for them) I feel so fuzzy inside. That means the world to me.

F: Are there any bad parts in the world of blogging?

K: Trolls, not that I’ve experienced any. And people not taking you seriously, but I guess you just have to let it wash over you. I know what I’m doing is right for me

F: What do you do in your spare time(if you have any)?

K: Haha exactly! Well we love crafting, making, baking and going to the cinema. I also love to sleep, but that’s a rare thing these days!

F: Is there a special message you would like to deliver your audience?

K:I always say, just be you. Be you and be kind. If I can pass on any kind of message, that would be it. Life is just too short for anything else.

F: Thank you again for this opportunity, Kelly! Good luck with your blog and novel and don’t forget to let us know when the novel will be published!
